Jerome ("Jerry") Converse is a 1981 graduate of Cumberland County High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Associate of Science in Criminal Justice at Tennessee Tech and obtained a Juris Doctorate from Memphis State University. He was admitted to practice law in Tennessee in 1989 and has lived and worked in Robertson County for 28 years.
Jerry is admitted to practice in all Tennessee state courts, the Tennessee Supreme Court and all Tennessee Federal District Courts. He practices primarily in the Robertson County courts but administers Estates in all surrounding Tennessee counties. He devotes his law practice to administering estates, drafting Wills and Testamentary Trusts, establishing corporations and LLCs, handling small business transactions, drafting and interpreting contracts, performing uncontested divorces and adoptions, conducting real estate transactions and practicing general civil law. He also actively engages in general civil litigation for Plaintiffs and Defendants and represents citizens accused of crimes in General Sessions and Criminal Court.
Jerry has been active in serving our country, our state and our community. Jerry has served in the Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve for over thirty one years. He is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) and has served multiple combat tours with the 3rd U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division and 25th Infantry Division. He was elected to the Robertson County Board of Education in 2008 and served two full terms, completing his obligation in 2016. Jerry is active in his church and has served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for more than ten years. He is a past President of the Springfield Kiwanis and a past director of both the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce and the Robertson County YMCA. He is a former hearing officer for the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility and past president of the Robertson County Bar Association. He has served as Robertson County Juvenile Court Referee and Special Judge in Robertson County General Sessions and Criminal Courts.
Jerry has made a career out of serving and helping our community. He does so with honesty and integrity and he works hard for the best outcome for his clients.
